Welcome to Jackson 3 Foundation

At Jackson 3 Foundation (J3F), we believe no child should navigate grief alone. Whether you found us because you are navigating grief, supporting someone who is, or looking for ways to make a difference in your community, we're honored you're here. J3F is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing referrals, resources, opportunities, and community partnerships that help children and families navigate grief while sustaining and enhancing their quality of life after the loss of a supportive family member. We believe healing happens through community, and we are committed to ensuring children and families always know where to turn.

Growing Through Grief™ Series

Created by siblings Bobby, Hopey, and Jameson Jackson, the Growing Through Grief™ Series is a four part interactive book series shaped by lived experience, education, and leadership. Designed for Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College/Young Adult, each book provides age-appropriate reflection, activities, and conversation starters that give children and young adults space to understand and express their grief in their own way and at their own pace. The series creates a place to reflect, connect, and start the conversation about grief.

J3F NATIONAL CHILDREN'S GRIEF AWARENESS
Each year, J3F joins communities across the nation in raising awareness and ensuring children and families navigating grief know they are not alone.

Throughout 2025, this community artwork came to life during J3F community events and Grief Awareness Through Education (GATE) outreach. Community members created the heart, community partners inspired the flowers, children and families navigating grief created the butterflies, and the J3F tree - illustrated and designed by Hopey Jackson - became the inspiration for the Growing Through Grief™ Series book covers. Created through the collective hearts and hands of our community, this artwork was featured throughout our National Children's Grief Awareness campaign through a partnership of the Stockton Arts Commission and Valley Outdoor Media. The billboard stands as a reminder that when communities come together, children and families never have to navigate grief alone.
